課程概述 |
This is a course intended for students interested in using a set of operational principles and laws, derived from scientific methods and models, to improve existing business models and create new business models in the supply chain framework. Two perspectives are emphasized: (1) how should an organization design its products (both goods and services) so that they can be profitably offered; (2) how can an organization best build, borrow, or/and buy resources to deliver its portfolio of products to existing and potential customers in co-opetitive ecosystems. To be able to make clever decisions as to these high-level strategies, this course provides a foundation of operational models and operations rules. These models and rules give students a set of conceptual and qualitative frameworks for understanding the linkage between how an organization manages its supply and how well that supply matches its resulting demand in various contexts including manufacturing, services, fashion, internet, energy markets, sustainability, and startups. |
課程目標 |
The main goal of this course is to provide fundamental knowledge, conceptual frameworks, and quantitative/qualitative insights needed by general managers, management consultants, entrepreneurs, as well as social and policy makers. |
